Our client is seeking a Permanent Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in the Home Counties. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site investigations, overseeing drilling operations, and ensuring compliance with HSEQ legislation. This role involves project management, supervising drilling activities, and delivering technical reports in line with BS5930 and Eurocode7 standards. The engineer will mentor Graduate Engineers, coordinate resources, and maintain accurate documentation to ensure smooth project progression. Experience with site supervision, soil logging, and monitoring equipment installation is essential, as is a proactive approach to site safety and team leadership.
- Degree in geology or civils-related subjects with practical experience
- Proven experience in supervising drilling rigs and site management
- CSCS card and full UK driving licence
- Proficiency in MS Office, Holebase/AGS, and ideally AutoSketch
- Understanding of geotechnical and geo-environmental testing
- Rail experience and additional industry competencies are desirable
This exciting position offers a salary of £32-34,000, along with opportunities for continued professional development.
