We are seeking a Permanent Principal Engineering Geologist to join our client's team in the UK, NW Land. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering geo-environmental services across various sectors, including water utilities, property development, and public sector projects. You'll oversee ground investigation design, interpret findings, and mentor junior staff within a dynamic, collaborative environment that supports professional growth and flexibility. The role involves project management, technical oversight, and client engagement, primarily in the north of England, with opportunities to work on challenging sites alongside multidisciplinary teams.
- Degree and/or master's in geology, engineering geology or geotechnical engineering
- Substantial experience in engineering geology from desktop review to interpretation
- Experience supervising ground investigations and producing technical reports
- Knowledge of slope stability, foundation recommendations, dewatering, and temporary works
- Experience in contaminated land assessment and coal mining risk assessments (desirable)
- Excellent communication, IT skills, and understanding of health, safety, and environmental management
- Ability to mentor and support junior team members
